Judgereport / Dommer rapport

Judgereport from the DZRR show in Dortmund 9. May 2004.

First I would like to thank the club for inviting me to judge your  show. It was a pleasure to judge your bitches on 9.may 2004.

The show was well organized and the handlers treated their dogs very nice. The audience was very interested and it was a pleasure for me to give an open critique for those bitches that I placed.

I only judged the bitches and I found several very nice bitches. I junior class I would like to mention Ye Japha Diketi who was a very nice constructed bitch and moved very nice but still needs time to mature.

In champion class I had two very good bitches which fighted all the end until placement. Thokoza Bohati Shangar came second since she today didn’t wan’t to move all the way. She seemed a little heavy today. Number one was Ntchwaidumela Audacia Minora – well built and a nice mover.

In the open class I had 2 very very nice bitches which I let them run for a long time. They were very good constructed and moved very soundly. Only when moving them for several rounds you are able to see who is most sound in movements. Glenaholm Jaqluiperd came in first with Stenanga Ghali Binti Mfalme close behind . I made my choise of Glenaholm Jaqluiperd since her front was a bit stronger and firm compared with number two. She was also my best bitch for today.

I saw a lot of dogs with good shoulder layback and rather good upper arm. The heads was also very nice constructed with good lenght of muzzle. These qualities you must try to preserve and strengthen in your breeding. Some of your dogs had a too wide head with short muzzle which is a common problem in several countries.

Many of your dogs need better angulation behind which will in turn give better movements also. Only a few of your ridgebacks had really good movements in the hind hooks and this is very much needed to get the correct turn of stifle behind. Otherwise the dog will be moving with short steps and just kicking up behind.

I whish the club and the owners good luck in the future and I hope I will see some of your dogs sometime on my travels in Europe.

Best regards
